- The officers of the SparkTank chapter at [school name] are the Chapter Executive Officer (President), Vice President, VP of Finance, VP of Marketing, VP of Partnerships, and Secretary. These officers will form the [school name] SparkTank executive board.
- The executive board is composed of the elected officers of the club and will meet on a regular basis to assign tasks, plan events, prepare resources, maintain member community, and collaborate on the business of the chapter.
- These officers will perform the duties prescribed below and by any other roles adopted by the chapter.
Chapter Executive Officer - President (In some chapters, they may also be the Executive State Director)
- Represent the club to the larger SparkTank organization and school community.
- Lead a SparkTank Chapter and SparkTank Executive Board at their school.
- Oversee the seamless implementation of the Gen Z Startup Accelerator in their chapter. The International SparkTank C-Suite Executive Board will provide all the workshops and resources for the accelerator.
- Gen Z Startup Accelerator Workshops: Prepare for all workshops, attend and facilitate chapter workshops, provide follow-up organizational tasks, and inform the executive board of additional meeting information.
- Work with the State Directors to organize the SparkTank State Investor Panel Competition.
- Plan entrepreneurship, business, & career events and trips for their chapter. Ensure that all chapter activities are related to the mission of SparkTank.
- Serve as spokesperson for the executive board and the club.
- Coordinate executive board transition.
- Commit to regular communications with the SparkTank team, including through feedback forms, leadership meetings, and other related events.
** If needed, some of the presidents’s chapter responsibilities can be delegated to other members of the executive board (especially in cases where the president is also the executive state director).
Vice President
- Help the president oversee the seamless implementation of the Gen Z Startup Accelerator in their chapter. The International SparkTank C-Suite Executive Board will provide all the workshops and resources for the accelerator.
- Gen Z Startup Accelerator Workshops: Help prepare for all workshops, attend and facilitate chapter workshops, provide follow-up organizational tasks, and inform the executive board of additional meeting information.
- Help coordinate executive board transition and facilitate elections.
- Recruit new members interested in entrepreneurship to join their chapter and maintain current membership.
